Back to Effingham, that quiet little hamlet with a few eateries. Having so many chain eateries, it is quite difficult for the mom and pop shops to compete, but there is a star that stands out.
Whether you’ve just finished a round of golf, stopped by for lunch or dinner, or came to enjoy some music, Greenside has a lot to offer. The bar is always lively, and the service is excellent. The menu features a variety of golf-themed dishes, such as the Sand-Wedge Board, Bogie’s Hoagies, and Soups and Greens. The food is consistently good.
In addition to the many fun bar snacks like wings, nachos, burgers, soups, and salads, they also offer a small but quality dinner menu. The steaks and the famous southern-style shrimp and grits are particularly delicious. On weekends, they serve Prime Rib with a choice of two cuts: king or queen.
Sitting outside on the patio is always enjoyable, especially while sipping cocktails, listening to the live music, and savoring a great meal. Greenside is located in the Lost Plantation neighborhood, just off Fort Howard, nestled alongside the golf course “City Club at Lost Plantation.”
